The Esperanto dialog does sound a bit like the faux Swedish dialog in the short Bergman parody THE DOVE. I suspect they did it in Esperanto for the simple fact that the dialog sounded better in a foreign tongue with subtitles.

Spencer Gill (opticalguy1954@yahoo.com)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5528804799207570073.post-81204773574685073032009-07-21T16:23:22.257-07:002009-07-21T16:23:22.257-07:00Thank you for this! Great site you've got here.

Bestest wishes. :)James Graceyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08968719719213071671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5528804799207570073.post-5350208086903976432009-07-21T13:26:14.772-07:002009-07-21T13:26:14.772-07:00Glad you like the review, Vicar! The nudity is very brief, but hard to miss (and given its context, ultimately not very erotic.) A book on cursed movies would be most welcome! The Headless Werewolfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04054963418066619084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5528804799207570073.post-46676456155014382502009-07-21T10:11:53.830-07:002009-07-21T10:11:53.830-07:00Fantastic review of a truly strange flick! I need to revisit now, with my greater appreciation for subtlety and nuance and all that.

Plus, the VHS copy I had didn't have the nudity, I think.

Which is artistically important, after all. ;)

Also, I love reading about "cursed" movies, and this one has a real doozy of a curse, apparently. I'm sure there's a book full of such tales out there somewhere...if not, there oughta be!

Great job!The Vicar of VHShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06832137990485130735noreply@blogger.com
